COMPUTEX 2019 to Focus on AI, IoT, Edge Computing Business Opportunities as 5G Launches

Asia’s leading B2B tech exhibition, COMPUTEX TAIPEI will be held this year from May 28 to June 1. One of the organizers, Taipei Computer Association (TCA) stated that the 6 main themes of COMPUTEX 2019 are: 5G, AI, IoT, Gaming & XR, Smart Retail, and Blockchain; with other categories to join the show. The scale of COMPUTEX continues to grow as 1,685 exhibitors in 5,508 booths will participate in the exhibition along with hundreds of professional forums.

TCA pointed out that as 5G will soon be available; more investments are being made to AI, IoT, and Edge Computing solutions for various vertical market purposes. Technology giants including ASUS, Microsoft, Interl, Realtek, MSI, Gigabyte, BenQ, G.Skill, InWin, Delta Electronics, QCT, ADATA, Elitegroup, MiTAC, ASRock, GeIL, V-Color, Compal, and more will gather in COMPUTEX to showcase various smart computing solutions. These include AI, gaming, Creator computers, IoT applications, smart retail, smart manufacturing, and edge computing.

More servers and network communications companies will exhibit 5G servers and communication equipment; making COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2019 one of the most important exhibitions in the global digital transformation supply chain for B2B procurement in the face of 5G digital economy.

COMPUTEX to Provide a One-Stop Smart Solution Procurement Service

GSM Association (GSMA) recently released their annual report (The Mobile Economy 2019). In the report, the market value of IoT is predicted to grow from USD 9.1 Billion in 2018 to USD 25.2 Billion in 2025. Global IoT revenue is also predicted to reach USD 1.1 Trillion in 2025. As 4G will grow along with 5G, GSMA also recommends companies such as telecommunication operators to provide application services as a monetization model, rather than simply selling internet services or hardware devices.

TCA stated that in addition exhibiting the mainstays of personal computers, GPUs, servers, and various types of communication equipment; COMPUTEX will also be the largest B2B IoT supply chain exhibition. In COMPUTEX, exhibitors will showcase solutions including smart home, smart textile & sportstech, fintech, smart buildings, smart retail, smart healthcare, smart energy, smart tourism, IoV, smart government, smart city, IIoT, cybersecurity, and other solutions to provide a one-stop B2B IoT & smart solutions procurement services globally.

Startup Focused Exhibition InnoVEX to Provide Opportunities for Startups to Network with Global Investors & Companies

Entering the fourth edition, InnoVEX use the new slogan of “New Thinking‧New Engineering‧New Future. This year, InnoVEX will be held in TWTC Hall 1 from May 29 to 31. TCA pointed out that there will be 400 startup teams, both local and international in InnoVEX 2019. Representatives from internationally well-known companies including Arm and Qualcomm Incorporated will participate in the InnoVEX forum. International trade offices from Canada, Philippines, France, Netherlands, Hungary, and more will also organize country pavilions in the showgrounds of InnoVEX.

TCA stated that InnoVEX will feature contents from AI, big data, biotech, consumer tech, 5G, XR, e-commerce, enterprise software, IoT, cyber security, agritech, green energy, and more. Startups can network with global visitors & investors in the showgrounds. If they joined the Pitch Contest, startups can showcase their innovations to a focused audience of VCs and corporate partners.
