COMPUTEX Official Awards: BC Award to add 5G, Cyber Security, and International Entrants. Registration opens until March 19

5G phones became one of the main attractions in this year’s MWC (Mobile World Congress). This major interest in 5G will undoubtedly allow 5G to advance further in 2020. 5G will also be an important aspect of COMPUTEX 2019 which will be held in May, in addition to AI, IoT, e-sports/XR, smart retail, blockchain, and more. Following this industry trend, the official awards of COMPUTEX: Best Choice Award, will also add the new categories of 5G, Security solutions, and international businesses. The registration for Best Choice Award will remain open until March 19.

Comprehensive Network Applications Bring New Security Concerns

Facing the advent of the 5G era, cyber security also gains more attention. According to a recent report from Gartner, the spending on security solution will have reached USD 124 Billion in 2019; an annual increase of 8.7%. Among that number, USD 13 billion will be spent on network security systems & devices. As such, cyber security solutions has been added as a category for BC Award

BC Award as Guarantee of Quality; Now Invites Foreign Applicants

One of the co-organizers of COMPUTEX, Taipei Computer Association (TCA) pointed out that BC Award has entered its 18th year. Over the years, many innovative products have been recognized by buyers and consumers through winning prizes. Winners can further boost their appeal to the domestic and international market by adding the Best Choice Award logo to their products. One of the startup winners of BC Award, Maktar stated that winning the BC Award in 2018 not only adds to the appeal of their Qubii, but also builds customer trust in the product. This added appeal is very helpful for startups.

TCA also added that to encourage foreign exhibitors in joining the BC Award, a new International Special Award has been added to the lineup. International exhibitors are welcome to join this event.
