Canadian AIoT Showcasing @ InnoVEX

The Canadian Trade Office in Taipei (CTOT) will be showcasing 14 leading high
tech companies at the Canadian AIoT Pavilion at InnoVEX 2019 (booth # D0429,
Hall 1, TWTC). Through the Canadian Technology Accelerator (CTA) in Taipei,
these companies will be seeking strategic partnerships with Taiwan industry to
explore international markets.
Jordan Reeves, the Executive Director of Canadian Trade Office in Taipei,
indicates Taiwan is one of Canada's top five most important innovation and R&D
partners. Canada’s innovation ecosystem is a perfect match to Taiwan’s
well-established global ICT supply chain. Canadian startups are eager to
commercialize their technology with international partners and they regard
Taiwan as a gateway to Asia. In the past 5 years, Canada and Taiwan bilateral
trade has increased by 31% and exports to Taiwan have increased by 43%. CTOT is
committed to expanding this bilateral relationship through the Canadian
Technology Accelerator (CTA) initiative working with partners like InnoVEX.
Highlights of the Canadian AIoT Pavilion @ InnoVEX – AI + IoT + Digital
Health.
Following the success from last year, CTOT will host “Canadian AIoT Pavilion” at
InnoVEX 2019, featuring 14 Canadian companies covering a wide spectrum in the
fields of AI, IoT and Digital Health:

Canadian AIoT Pavilion will host “Happy Hour” at 4pm daily at InnoVEX offering

About Canadian Technology Accelerator (CTA):
The CTA initiative was launched in 2009 to provide innovative Canadian companies
with access to unique resources and contacts, helping participants refine their
business models, pursue key clients, access financing resources and engage
strategic partners to help them grow internationally. Currently, CTAs are
operating in Boston, New York, San Francisco and Silicon Valley. Between 2013
and 2018, more than 495 companies have participated in CTAs, with a total of
over CAD 514 million in capital raised.
The CTA in Taiwan is one of four new CTAs that are part of Canada’s economic
diversification strategy towards Asia, together with Hong Kong, Singapore and
Tokyo. Initial sectors of focus include artificial intelligence (AI),
Internet-of-Things (IoT), and digital health.
