In the 1980s, IT industry was growing at a breathtaking rate. The founder of BIOSTAR GROUP equipped with accumulated experience in electronic parts trade and with a careful study of the future demand for main boards and add-on cards, established BIOSTAR MICROTECH INTERNATIONAL CORP in 1986.
In the early years, BIOSTAR was concentrating on the manufacturing of main boards built in XT form factor. To maintain steady business growth, BIOSTAR managed to keep investing large portion of capital and manpower in new product design and development, which at the same time enabled the company to stay in competitive rank in the rapid evolution of computer industry.
