Publish Date :2021/05/24
The Taipei Computer Association (TCA), co-organizers of InnoVEX states that
in comparison with European and American countries, the Japanese market is
relatively conservative. Without the assistance of Japanese companies, it is
difficult for foreign companies to enter the Japanese market. In order to assist
startups to do so, the 2021 InnoVEX Pitch Contest cooperated with Japan Finder
to set up a "Japan Finder Special Award". The winning team will receive 1
million yen directly, and Japan Finder will assist startup to access related
industries in Japan, providing the fastest way to enter the Japanese market!
TCA states that in regards to the Japan Finder Special Awards, judging focus
will be based on four categories: "Advanced Cars and Smart Transportation",
"E-commerce and Retail Solutions", "COVID 19 and Healthcare Solutions", and
"Internet of Things Applications". These categories of applications will be
looked into as priority, and the winning team must have plans to establish a
branch office in Japan or plan to enter the Japanese market.
The main purpose of the establishment of the "Japan Finder Special Award" is to
find foreign innovations that meet the needs of the Japanese market through the
InnoVEX Pitch Contest. By linking with Japanese venture capital and Japanese
companies, it helps foreign startup teams to successfully access the Japanese
market.
According to TCA, the combination sponsored by Taiwania Capital and Qualcomm,
the total prize of the InnoVEX 2021 Pitch Contest this year is nearly USD$
40,000. This year well-known venture capital and accelerators such as Plug and
Play, Mountain Pacific Venture, Mosaic Venture Lab, Techstars Investment, etc.
are invited to review applicants as judges, which is a great help for teams to
advance to the international market. Applicants interested in registering must
