Over 85,000 Visitors from 160 Countries Gathered in COMPUTEX 2024

This year’s edition of Asia’s leading B2B ICT trade show, COMPUTEX, was concluded successfully on June 7. As one of the organizers of COMPUTEX, Taipei Computer Association (TCA) stated that the demand for AI computing and digital transformation continues to grow. In support of the main theme of COMPUTEX 2024 - “Connecting AI”, the event showcases various groundbreaking products and solutions including: AI PCs, AI servers, edge AI devices, EVs, gaming products, Wi-Fi 7 solutions, green tech solutions, and more.

In the 4-day event, COMPUTEX 2024 was joined by 85,179 professionals and visitors from 160 countries and regions. With the growing interest in generative AI as well as the participation from various world leading tech companies, the visitor count of COMPUTEX 2024 has grown by 78% compared to 2023. The top 10 countries of origin for this year’s COMPUTEX attendees are Japan, US, China, South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, India, Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines. This international gathering of professionals fully demonstrates how the topic of AI digital transformation has become a vital trend in the global industry.

COMPUTEX 2024 Pre-Show AI PC Industry Exploration Forum Correctly Predicted the Popularity of AI PC Trends

One of the COMPUTEX 2024 pre-show events, the AI PC Industry Exploration Forum was held on May 16, gathering many industry experts and tech leaders to share their insights on the trend. The speakers and panelists on the forum included: Chris Hung, Vice President and Director General, MIC; Grace Wang, Intel Taiwan Vice President & GM; ST Liew, VP of Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. and President of Qualcomm TW, SEA, ANZ; Dr. Jason Ma, Engineering Director, ChromeOS, Google Taiwan; Dr. Albert Liu, CEO & Founder of Kneron; TH Tung, Pegatron Chairman/ CSO; Samson Hu, ASUS Corporation CEO; Mike Yang, SVP of Quanta/ GM of Quanta Cloud Technology; Anson Chiu, LITEON President; and dr. Allen Lien, Acer Medical Chairman.

The topics discussed in the forum included AI PC trends and ecosystem, AI PC developments, enterprise & personal AI applications, and personalized GPT; successfully predicting the key subjects in the AI PC ecosystem. The forum also highlighted how AI applications will extend to various verticals and the key role of COMPUTEX in promoting global AI empowerment and digital transformation.

BenQ Won the Gold Award for COMPUTEX 2024 Sustainable Design Award

TCA stated that to promote sustainability in both the event and exhibitors, COMPUTEX 2024 introduced the Sustainable Design Award initiative to honor the exhibitors incorporating 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) in their booth design and activities. The award aims to promote a low-carbon, low pollution, and low carbon event.

Winners of the award were announced on June 5 after an intense competition and onsite inspection by the judges. BenQ was announced as the winner of the Gold Award; Acer and ASUS won the Silver Award; and Transcend and Wiwynn won the special award.

TCA hoped that the Sustainable Design Award will not only promote new best practices in the event, but also new standards that can be used in the entire exhibition ecosystem to create a more sustainable future.

COMPUTEX and InnoVEX 2024 Visitors Enthusiastically Joined the TCA 50th Anniversary Event

Established in 1974, TCA has always promoted its original goals of promoting unity, cooperation, and service. Under the leadership of successive chairmen, TCA has gathered the strength of its member organizations and industries to advocate for a culture of innovation, promoted R&D efforts in key technologies, cultivated smart applications, and actively invested in international markets.

This year coincides with TCA’s 50th anniversary. To celebrate this special milestone and show appreciation to its members, TCA held a series of events during COMPUTEX 2024. Visitors participating in the event had a chance to win round-trip airline tickets while TCA members were able to enjoy special benefits or professional consulting services. The 4-day events were met with an enthusiastic response from participants and visitors; showing how TCA’s spirit of cooperation and unity supported the organization and its members.
