COMPUTEX 2022 to Focus on 6 Major Digital Technology Trends; COMPUTEX Annual Symposium will Start in December 2022

The world is slowly recovering from the effects of COVID-19 after more than a year of global slowdowns. As global exhibitions and trade shows slowly resume, manufacturers also actively increase their business expansion efforts. As co-organizers of COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2022, Taipei Computer Association (TCA) stated that the physical exhibition of Asia’s leading B2B trade show will take place in TaiNEX Halls 1 and 2 from May 24 to 27, 2022.

COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2022 will focus on future digital social technology trends, with heavy emphasis on the following 6 trends: Accelerating Intelligence, Connected X-Experience, Digital Resilience, Innovative Computing, Sustainability, and Innovations & Startups. The startup focused exhibition InnoVEX will be held in the same time and venue to promote cross-industry cooperation between businesses, VCs, and startups.

TCA stated that the online registration for COMPUTEX 2022 started at November 15 2021, 13.00 (GMT+8) for local Taiwanese exhibitors. To provide exhibitors with a comprehensive long-term promotion services, COMPUTEX 2022 will consist of both online and offline exhibition platforms. All exhibitors who completed their registration procedures for the offline exhibition before February 28, 2022 will also receive the COMPUTEX CYBERWORLD 2022 C-level promotional program worth NTD 30,000 (approximately USD 1,000) for free.

Global IT Spending to Reach USD 4.5 Trillion in 2022

According to a Gartner research, overall global IT spending will reach USD 4.5 trillion in 2022, an increase of 5.5% compared to 2021. The increase rate is lower compared to the 9.5% in the 2021 period as enterprises are expected to build new technologies & software instead of buying then implementing them.

Enterprise software is projected to be the segment with the highest growth in 2022, estimated to increase by 11.5%. Other segments with the highest growth rate include: IT services (8.6% increase), data center systems (5.8% increase), devices (2.3% increase), and communications services (2.1% increase).

COMPUTEX Annual Symposium to Start in December 2021
