COMPUTEX 2022 Focuses on Global Digital Transformation InnoVEX 2022 Returns with 195 Startups from 14 Countries

Asia’s leading B2B ICT exhibition, COMPUTEX TAIPEI returns from May 24 to 27 in Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 1 (TaiNEX 1). One of the organizers, Taipei Computer Association (TCA) announced that multiple industry leading companies including GIGABYTE, KIOXIA, Delta Electronics, Innodisk, Infineon, Voltronic Power, AU Optronics, and more. The exhibitors will bring their latest products and innovations in 5G, AI, HPC, gaming & e-sports, automotive electronics, as well as key trends in digital transformation such as smart manufacturing, smart retail, energy saving/ energy storage, ESG, and more. The COMPUTEX CYBERWORLD platform will also host many online events as well as a virtual exhibition function to bring a hybrid experience for COMPUTEX 2022.

At the same time, the startup focused event, InnoVEX will also return at the same time. This year, InnoVEX is joined by 195 startups from 14 countries. The startups are expected to network with global VCs, CVCs, global industry leading companies, as well as global visitors both online or onsite. InnoVEX will host 10 forums with speakers representing leading companies, government representatives, as well as global VCs and CVCs such as Blackberry QNX, GaN Systems, Landing AI, Microsoft, Qualcomm, Pegatron, Trend Micro, Solomon Technology, Elan Microelectronics, Compal Electronics, MiTAC, and more. The forums will discuss the current and ongoing trends on various topics; including 5G, EV, AI, sports tech, smart manufacturing, ESG, and green technology. In addition, one of the mainstays of InnoVEX, the InnoVEX Pitch Contest will also hold its semifinal round live on May 25 with the final round on 27. The prize pool this year is worth USD 347,000 which is consists of 11 prizes from sponsors and partners.

COMPUTEX 2022 to Focus on 6 Major Trends

TCA stated that the COMPUTEX 2022 will focus on future digital society as well as growing ICT trends that can be represented in the 6 major topics of: Innovative Computing, Accelerating Intelligence, Digital Resilience, Connected X-Perience, Sustainability, and Innovations and Startups. Companies that will join COMPUTEX 2022 include GIGABYTE, Delta Electronics, KIOXIA, Industrial Development Bureau (IDB) of Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) organized AI Pavilion, Innodisk, JetWay, Infineon, Voltronic Power, IONE, ATEN, Taiwan Smart Textile Association (tsta), K-Best, Plustek, Silicon Labs, Artilux, Protech Systems, Jorjin, Minpo, and other companies both domestic and international.

The companies will showcase innovations and applications in digital transformation technologies including 5G, AI, HPC, gaming hardware, creator computer, automotive electronics, edge computing, metaverse, smart manufacturing, smart living, green energy, energy saving, and more.

The official award of COMPUTEX, the Best Choice Award (abbreviated as BC Award) has continued to be a reliable product procurement guide for domestic and international buyers. This year’s BC Award 2022 will announce 29 winning products on the first day of COMPUTEX on May 24. The winning products will be displayed in the BC Award pavilion in TaiNEX 1 4F, booth L0217a. InnoVEX 2022 Features 195 Startups from 14 Countries and 10 Forums

TCA announced that the innovation hub of Asia, InnoVEX 2022 will be held in the same time as COMPUTEX 2022 from May 24 to 27. This year, InnoVEX will be joined by 195 startups from 14 countries including: MEGAONE, eYs3D, Maktar, Ganzin, Harbortech, CYBAVO, IsCoolLab, BROADSIMS, TeamRed Labs, and more.

InnoVEX 2022 will feature more over 10 global pavilions established by government agencies and accelerators. The pavilions are arranged by: Taipei Exchange, Small and Medium Enterprise Administration (SMEA) of MOEA, StarFab, HYPE SPIN TW, Commercial Office of Brazil, Digit Spark, ICC India, and more. The startups joining the pavilion will showcase innovations in AI, 5G, healthcare, biotech, smart manufacturing, semiconductor, smart business, and more.

TCA Stated that InnoVEX Forum 2022 will consist of 10 back-to-back events that aim to share insights on the latest trends of innovation and technologies. The forums featured speakers from government agencies, startup teams, VCs, CVCs, and other relevant authorities in the subject matter; including representatives from Blackberry QNX, GaN Systems, Landing AI, Microsoft, Qualcomm, Rockwell Automation, Pegatron, Trend Micro, Elan Electronics, Solomon Technology, Compal Electronics, Compal Electronics, MiTAC, Invest India, India-Taipei Association, Taiwan Advanced Automotive Technology Development Association (TADA), Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), Taiwan Artificial Intelligence Association, and more. The forums discuss various topics including EV, AI, 5G, sportstech, smart manufacturing, ESG, green technology, Web3.0, and more.

InnoVEX Pitch Contest 2022 Semifinal and Final Rounds to be Held on May 25 and May 27

TCA stated that the InnoVEX Pitch Contest preliminary round has ended on May 20 and after the selection process, 25 startups were selected to continue to the semifinal round on May 25 in the InnoVEX Pi Stage. The final stage of the InnoVEX Pitch Contest will be held on May 27 in the Center Stage. The startup teams will be competing for the prizes worth a total of USD 347,000 sponsored by the SMEA, Startup Terrace, Qualcomm, Taiwania Capital, and KPMG.

This year, startups from 10 countries: Brazil, Canada, Finland, France, Hong Kong, Israel, Italy, Japan, Taiwan, and USA joined the InnoVEX Pitch Contest; with 38.5% of the participants joining from overseas. The top 3 industries of the participants are healthcare & biotech, 5G, and AI.

In addition to the InnoVEX Pitch Contest, there will also be other startup competitions and demo days such as the 2022 Taiwan Startup World Cup, CTA Demo Day – Digital Technology, Industry-Academic Collaboration Demo Day, and more.
