The Official Award of COMPUTEX - Best Choice Award 2023 Open for Registration Until March 28

Asia’s leading B2B ICT tradeshow, COMPUTEX TAIPEI will return from May 30 to June 2, 2023. As one of the organizers; Taipei Computer Association (TCA) stated that the official award of COMPUTEX, Best Choice Award is a reliable purchasing guide for buyers from around the world and has received applications by companies from Taiwan, USA, Singapore, Hong Kong, and China.

Products in both emerging and existing technologies such as Metaverse and Vehicle Tech & Smart Cockpit are among the more popular categories entered into the Best Choice Award. The winning products will be displayed in the exclusive Best Choice Award pavilion in COMPUTEX 2023 while the winners of the Golden Award and the Best Choice Award of the Year will be honored during the opening ceremony of COMPUTEX TAIPEI. Metaverse, Vehicle Tech, and other Smart Applications to be the Main Focus of COMPUTEX

TCA stated that developments in semiconductor technology has rapidly driven the growth of innovative ICT products and solutions which has become the mainstream for international buyers across different fields in recent years. The research institute McKinsey estimated that by 2030, metaverse related technologies will be used in both consumer and enterprise settings, generating an estimated value of USD 4 to 5 trillion. Metaverse as a technology also allows for flexible applications in both consumer and enterprise settings. Industrial metaverse applications are expected to start in the construction, insurance, education, retail, and manufacturing industries.

According to a report by TrendForce, the global sales of new energy vehicles will reach 10.65 million units in 2022, an increase of 63.6% from the previous year regardless of the economic downturn. In 2023, the number of sales is estimated to reach 14.51 million; 36.2% higher than 2022.

As the demand for smart vehicles and new energy vehicles continue to grow, smart cockpits are expected to become the new battlefield for automakers. According to a report by Research and Markets, the CAGR for the automotive cockpit AI market from 2020 to 2026 will reach 45.41%. As many smart cockpit components are mainly manufactured or supplied by Taiwanese technology giants; the procurement of smart car & smart cockpit related solutions has also become a popular option for international buyers.

According to TCA, by the end of February 2023, the number of registrations in the Computer & System, Gaming & Entertainment, and Peripherals & Accessories are among the highest with registration in other categories following up. TCA stated that the competition format and judging process of BC Award have been internationally recognized. Regardless of the size of the winning company, winning the Best Choice Award has earned them product and brand name recognition; helping them expand to the international market. Winning the BC Award has opened doors to major international markets for a number of award-winning companies.

Since BC Award started in 2002, TCA has invited representatives from the industry and academics to join the BC Award jury panel. Winning the BC Award means the winning product excels in 3 main criteria: uniqueness, innovation, and marketability.
