Registration for the Official Award of COMPUTEX 2025 – Best Choice Award Started with Focus on AI, EV, Robotics, & Sustainability

The next edition of Asia’s leading B2B ICT trade show – COMPUTEX will be held from May 20 to 23, 2025 in Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Halls 1 and 2. As one of the organizers, Taipei Computer Association (TCA) stated that registration for the official award of COMPUTEX – Best Choice Award (BC Award) is now open for both COMPUTEX and InnoVEX exhibitions from around the world.

As the global demand for digital technology and AI technology solutions rapidly grow, BC Award 2025 will focus on a total of 16 categories that include currently leading categories such as AI Servers, Edge AI, EV, robotics, and sustainability. Among the award categories, Robotics and Drones will be included as a new category for BC Award 2025.

As AI Demand Grows; AI Servers, Edge AI, EV, Robots, Drones, and Sustainability Became the Main Focus for International Buyers in 2025

As the global industries and governments face continued demands for digital transformation and aging societies; the demand for AI, semiconductors, and AI solutions will rapidly increase. According to a report by the International Data Corporation (IDC) titled The Global Impact of Artificial Intelligence on the Economy and Jobs; AI is expected to contribute a cumulative USD 19.9 trillion through 2030 and drive for 3.5% of the global GDP in 2030. The report also stated that every USD 1 spent on AI will generate USD 4.60 into the global economy.

The report explained that this is determined by the increased spending on AI solutions and services driven by accelerated AI adoption, the economic stimulus from AI adopters who are able to increase production and develop new revenue streams, and the impact along the whole AI provider supply chain with increased revenue for the providers of essential supplies to AI solutions and services providers.

Another major trend that the world currently faces is the issue of aging society which pushed companies and countries to leverage the technological advances in robotics and drone to overcome labor shortages. A report published by Precedence Research titled Service Robotics Market Size, Share, and Trends 2024 to 2034 stated that the global service robotics market size is expected to grow from USD 47.27 billion in 2023 to USD 54.51 billion in 2024 and to USD 212.77 billion in 2034; a CAGR of 15% from 2024 to 2034.

In 2023, the Asia Pacific region dominated the market with the highest share: 36%; while the commercial application held the largest market share. There is a strong future in robotics and drones and more and more companies are investing resources in R&D in the industry. Seeing this ongoing trend, the Robotics & Drones was added as the new category for BC Award 2025.

BC Award Competition Winning Products Will Receive Official Promotion in COMPUTEX

As the organizer of the Best Choice Award, TCA stated that the competition will invite judges representing government agencies, academia, research groups, and more to ensure fairness in the judging process. The high-level judges are also expected to select more outstanding products as the winners of the BC Award.

The winning products will be promoted through a series of channels and events. In addition to being unveiled in the Winners Launch event, the winning products will also be publicly displayed in the exclusive BC Award Pavilion during COMPUTEX to gather the attention of global buyers and media. In addition, the winning products will also be promoted via the COMPUTEX digital channels including the COMPUTEX YouTube channel, social media, and official press releases.

The BC Award organizer will also invite government VIPs to present the Golden Award and the highest award – the Best Choice of the Year awards in the COMPUTEX opening ceremony; shining the highlight to the winning products. With its place as the official award of COMPUTEX and the high prestige it brings to the winners, the BC Award is one of the most important annual competitions for exhibitors in both COMPUTEX and InnoVEX.

BC Award Continues the Sustainable Tech Special Award to Address the Global Corporate ESG Trends

Addressing the global climate change and CSR issues, BC Award has simultaneously launched the registration process for the Sustainable Tech Special Award. The judging standards for the Sustainable Tech Special Award will follow the existing international standards to encourage more companies to develop more technologically sustainable products and rapidly move to achieve their environmental protection goals.

Registration for BC Award 2025 has started on December 16, 2024. COMPUTEX and InnoVEX exhibitors can register up to 5 products to BC Award 2025 for free. Each registered product is limited to only 1 of the 16 available categories and multiple exhibitors cannot make a joint registration.
