AUO promotes low carbon production
AUO has set up the Carbon Energy Working Group that implements climate actions. We achieved Carbon 2020's objective of reducing 1 million tonnes of carbon in 5 years, attaining 194% performance in 2020; Leading the panel industry and obtaining the latest version of ISO14064:2018 certification; Introduce AI intelligent technology to improve energy efficiency; Design training, awards, and competitions to create a carbon reduction atmosphere for all employees. Over 3000 energy-saving proposals have been made and energy-saving per year reaches roughly 2.19%.
Looking to the future, we have set a positive goal of Reducing carbon emissions by 6.5 million tons from 2018 to 2025; Used 2018 as the base year and adopted WB2C absolute reduction target, aiming to achieve 25% absolute reduction by 2025; Expand the use of renewable energy.
