Encoder counter card
Associate with motion control, the encoder counter is a specific field of high speed counter. It receives the quadrature signals come from encoder or linear scale, providing multiple rate x1, x2 or x4 and counting the pulse to increase or decrease the counter to track the position/speed information. The programmable debounce function filters out the noise to keep the accuracy of high speed counting.
Besides the basic counting function, position compare with FIFO or auto increment to trigger the video capture card or other device needs to aware the exact position under monitoring.
